Don’t worry… this isn’t a post about politics. Been there, done that.
Rather, this is a post about a family choosing a breed of dog… just because they happen to be moving into the White House is besides the point. And it seems as if the Obama family have narrowed their search down to two different breeds.

Down to two.
One is a Labradoodle (left) and the other is a Portuguese water dog (right). Either would be a great choice in my humble opinion and I’m sure should Sadie ever run into either of them at the dog run with their Secret Service protection, they would get along just fine… unless of course if the new pup lets all the attention and fame go to their head.
Picking a dog is never easy, especially when dealing with kids, and luckily my wife let me have my way when we decided on Sadie but since I’ve been following the first family’s decision making process for this VERY important decision, I’m glad they decided on two worthy candidates… cause I’m a “bigger dog” kind of person. Hi Ethan -
I have been a fan of your LittleMsPurple site since early in the political race and loved reading your impressions and viewing the videos with ElizabethIrene, who happens to be a grand niece-in-law by marriage. That’s stretching it a bit, right? Right now, am anticipating the inauguration on Tuesday!
I now live in Texas, as Penelope, Liz’s mom, does, but I grew up and had my education in good old New York State - Rochester, actually - so Canandaigua is a familiar place to me.
I will enjoy following your blog going forward, always hoping, as any grandmother would, that the “big break” will soon come in theater for you! Best wishes,
Ann South
Thanks Ann… hopefully this blog can be just as entertaining… even if your Elizabeth isn’t playing Lilly:)
