The wife and I had a decision to make early on when starting “The Business” and that decision was: bricks & mortar, e-Commerce or both?
To deliver our product with the least amount of start-up capital and without the restrictions of real estate space, employees, distribution and such, we’ve decided to deliver our product via e-Commerce. That is not to say that we will never venture into bricks and mortar with our product offering but the ease of starting a business via the web is too advantageous to pass up.
Service providers of the web (web hosting, domain registration, blog templates, web shopping carts, email marketing and web site design) have come down so much in price over the past couple years that all a business needs to thrive in the virtual world is content that people are willing to pay for.
So… now that you know the platform for “The Business”, I will blog more about marketing, distribution and product development for and via the web which might even get your own entrepreneurial juices flowing… I’ll also throw in some e-Commerce success stories that I find interesting along the way. Stay tuned…
