The iPill

The below video is a great example of where technology is going to be taking us in the coming years. Here is a description of the video:

The iPill comes in the form of an 11 x 26 mm capsule. It incorporates a microprocessor, battery, pH sensor, temperature sensor, RF wireless transceiver, fluid pump and drug reservoir. It communicates via its wireless transceiver to a control unit outside the body. The transceiver is currently operating in ISM frequencies. This video shows the fluid pump in action. For demonstration purposes, the dispensed substance is blue liquid.

Next, after a baby is born, the doctor will ask, “Sir (or Ma’am), would you like a PC or Mac chip implanted in your newborn?”
