Treating PTSD… via ecstasy?

That’s what a psychiatrist in South Carolina has been working on…

Tthe mind altering effects of ecstasy seems to speed the process of a break through when dealing with the debilitating disease that is PTSD. The FDA approved his trial and use of MDMA (ecstasy’s clinical name) and a patient reports profound success which he describes:

It’s an extremely positive thing. I feel so lucky that I got to take part in the project… It’s basically like years of therapy in two or three hours. You can’t understand it until you’ve experienced it.

Maybe that’s what I need! I’m having issues with trauma as I write this! Drugs…. hmmm, that just might work!
